The removal of carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O) from gas streams is a critical step in many industrial processes, including gas treatment, chemical manufacturing, and the protection of sensitive equipment. Efficient CO₂ and H₂O removal prevents corrosion, icing (ice and hydrate formation), and operational disruptions while enhancing product quality and process reliability.
In practice, these purification steps are primarily carried out by adsorption: CO₂ and H₂O are selectively captured on porous solids and can be regenerated through changes in temperature or pressure. Zeolites and silica gel are highly effective materials for this purpose. C&CS zeolites provide high adsorption capacity and selectivity, enabling low residual CO₂ and moisture levels, while C&CS silica gel offers a cost-effective solution for moisture removal in gas streams.
These materials ensure reliable, long-term performance for a wide range of applications, including natural gas processing, air purification, and inert gas systems
