ActiSorb S6 zinc and copper oxide based adsorbent
ActiSorb S6 is a zinc and copper oxide-based adsorbent in tablet form for removing residual sulfur levels down to < 10 ppb. It is used

The removal of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbonyl sulfide (COS) from gas streams is a critical step in many industrial applications, including natural gas, synthesis gas, and biogas processing. Effective H₂S and COS removal reduces corrosive and toxic sulfur compounds, protects equipment and downstream catalysts, and ensures the required gas quality for subsequent process steps.
In industrial practice, purification is typically achieved by adsorption: H₂S and COS are selectively captured on suitable solid adsorbents and are either regenerated or disposed of, depending on the process design. For reliable sulfur removal, C&CS recommends ActiSorb S2, a high-performance adsorbent specifically developed for the efficient removal of sulfur compounds from gas streams. ActiSorb S2 is available in various particle sizes and can be easily integrated into existing gas purification systems, providing stable performance and long service life.
