Zeolite 13X (molecular sieve 13X) has a framework structure consisting of AlO₄⁻ and SiO₄⁻ tetrahedra with an effective pore size of approximately 10 Å (1.0 nm). Due to its large-pore structure, Zeolite 13X is one of the most versatile adsorbents in gas and liquid purification and is characterized by a high adsorption capacity and a strong affinity for polar molecules such as water (H₂O), CO₂, and other impurities.
C&CS Zeolite 13X is used in industry for numerous applications, particularly in process gas and air treatment plants. Its main applications include pressure swing adsorption (PSA), gas purification, drying and humidity control, CO₂ capture, and protection of downstream catalysts and plant components from contamination.
Zeolite 13X is available in several grain sizes and can be flexibly integrated into existing plants. Typical areas of application include PSA oxygen and nitrogen generators, natural gas and synthesis gas treatment, air separation plants, refinery gas treatment, drying of specialty gases, and applications in pharmaceutical and chemical production.
