Zeolite 5A
Zeolite 5A, also known as molecular sieve 5A, has slightly larger openings (pore size) compared to 3A and 4A. C&CS molecular sieve 5A is available

Zeolite 5A, also known as molecular sieve 5A, is a synthetic, colorless aluminosilicate with a defined pore size of approximately 5 Å (0.5 nm). Zeolite 5A is particularly effective in the selective adsorption of small polar molecules, especially water (H₂O). Larger molecules such as hydrocarbons, alcohols, and gases such as nitrogen (N₂) and oxygen (O₂) are largely excluded due to the defined pore size.
C&CS Molecular Sieve 5A is used in numerous industrial applications, particularly in gas separation and drying processes. Zeolite 5A is typically available in spherical form and is often used in applications such as air drying, natural gas dehydration, and oxygen and nitrogen separation processes.
Other areas of application include the petrochemical industry, natural gas purification, various industrial drying systems, solvent recovery, and other specialized applications.
