Silica gel aluminum

Silica gel alumina is reinforced with alumina and exhibits excellent mechanical stability as well as high water resistance. These properties enable its use in environments with high humidity and under elevated pressure. The hydrothermal stability of these products is also very high due to the alumina content.

Silica gel alumina is frequently used in gas processing, the chemical industry, and in applications with elevated water content. Applications under demanding to extreme conditions are of particular interest. Our experts will be happy to advise you on how to best utilize these products.

Silica gel alumina has slightly larger pores (2–50 nm), which allows for faster water diffusion.

These materials can be regenerated by heating to 120–140 °C or by vacuum regeneration. Our experts can support you in process development to achieve maximum regeneration.

Typical applications for these silica gels include flue gas drying, pneumatic controls, and use as adsorbers in offshore or saltwater environments.
