Silica gel

Silica gel, also known as silica gel, is an amorphous, porous material. Chemically, it consists of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and has a high specific surface area, typically 600–800 m²/g. Silica gel is available with or without a color indicator. The color indicator is a silica gel mixed with dye that changes color upon absorbing moisture, thus serving as a moisture indicator.
Silica gel is used as a desiccant in many industrial sectors, including filter technology, gas processing, electronics, transformers and the pharmaceutical industry.
PORESPHERE™ is a high-quality silica gel, available with or without an indicator. PORESPHERE™ silica gel has a high adsorption capacity and a clearly visible humidity indicator. Its adsorption capacity ranges from 35% to 90%. It can be used at temperatures up to 100°C and at relative humidity levels above 10%.
