ActiSorb® G1 is a bifunctional copper-molybdenum catalyst supported on ZnO, used for combined hydrodesulfurization and H₂S removal in natural gas with low sulfur content to protect nickel-based steam reforming catalysts in hydrogen production from sulfur poisoning.
Even at full sulfur loading, the hydrogenation activity remains fully intact. In addition, ActiSorb® G1 enables a significant simplification of the natural gas desulfurization process through combined hydrodesulfurization and H2S adsorption, as only a single reactor is required.
It is supplied as standard in the form of extrudates (4.5 mm).
C&CS offers comprehensive technical support—from consulting and design, through installation, to replacement and disposal.
Advantages:
- Highly active hydrogenation of sulfur compounds
- No minimum sulfur content in the feed is required
- Enables start-up without additional hydrogen
