C&CS #843 Zeolite 5A

C&CS #843 is a 5A-type zeolite available in various sphere sizes. Due to its high adsorption capacity and regenerability, it is commonly used for the drying and desulfurization (H₂S) of natural gas, the production of protective gases, and CO₂ removal. It is also used for the selective adsorption of polar molecules from mixtures containing adsorbable, but less polar, molecules (e.g., preferential adsorption of H₂S in the presence of CO₂). Additionally, it is used for the separation of n-paraffins from branched and cyclic hydrocarbons and for the selective removal of N₂ from air for O₂ production.
