Regeneration

Cost- and environmentally efficient recycling of catalysts and adsorbents

Our regeneration service restores used catalysts and adsorbents to near-new condition – offering significant cost advantages over disposal and new procurement. How does it work? First, samples of the material at the end of its service life are chemically characterized, and their basic regeneration capability is assessed. In the catalysis laboratory, the kinetics of the actual performance are investigated, specifically tailored to the customer's processes such as VOC, partial oxidation, reforming, hydrogenation, desulfurization, etc. (gas composition, temperatures, pressure, GHSV). Then, in the chemistry laboratory, we develop the regeneration "recipe" using burnout, acid scrubbing, dedusting and sieving, solvents, washing, etc. Success is again determined by kinetics. Based on the laboratory results, we develop a customized regeneration concept tailored to your process conditions (gas composition, temperatures, pressure profiles). We then carry out the actual regeneration and deliver the product back to the reactor.

The advantages at one glance

Cost reduction per life cycle

Maintaining process performance close to target

Extended life cycle of materials and equipment

Reduced residues and better environmental balance

(LCA proof)

Our experts are happy to coordinate extraction (reactor service), regeneration, monitoring, and quality control – all from a single source for stable process conditions. Transparent life cycle analyses (LCAs) allow for continuous, clear cost and environmental benefits.

In summary: why regeneration? Cost savings, documented environmental benefits, reduced procurement risks, and avoided complexity through a single source.
